This site is a tribute to Shelley who meant so much, to so many. An adored fiancée, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend.
Shelley was fiercely intelligent, courageous, loyal and full of mischief. She had a wicked sense of humour and lived each day with purpose and passion; once she had made up her mind to do something there was generally no stopping her, even from a very young age. She kept us all laughing with constant reddit threads, her love of Harry Potter and her refusal to wear anything but designer. And don’t get us started on her thoughts about budget airlines or her huge make-up stash!
The courage she displayed whilst living with AIH was inspiring and has been recognised by us all. She fought with such bravery and tried her best to live as normal a life as possible, that it was easy at times, to forget that she was very sick. She always made the effort for family and friends, arranging to see people and visiting places at a pace that left most of us feeling dizzy.
Medical research was important to Shelley in her work as a Clinical Trials Coordinator and as a patient advocate for Roche. In her personal life Shelley was a member of many autoimmune hepatitis groups and she actively raised awareness of the condition through blogs and her YouTube channel.
Words can't fully express how vibrant and full of life she was but we hope that the tributes, photos, stories and music on this page allow a small part of the person that she was to live on in our memories.
